Meet the team

Co-founder | Creative

With a background in both screen and stage acting, directing, writing, producing, podcasting and a Sociology degree under her belt, Rose is an inimitable force of creativity. As an actor Rose has enjoyed roles in a number of series’ including Chris Lilley’s Ja’mie: Private School Girl, Matchbox Pictures’ Glitch, Working Dog’s Utopia, ABC’s Why Are You Like This and Peter Helliar’s How to Stay Married. Rose has also starred in numerous TVCs and Web Series’ plus co-created and written her own digital series. Her stage experience has seen her travel to Adelaide Fringe as well as emerge as a Director for Bitten By Productions at Melbourne Fringe, where she has recently been appointed a Producer and board member. Rose also created and hosts the interview-based podcast for actors Get Your Act Together!

After chats with a number of fellow actors and drawing on her own experience, Rose recognised that a kind of effective, flexible and modern training actors desire was simply not on offer. Not content to wait around, Rose decided to do it herself, charming her actor mates into attending the prototype SceneWorkout sessions out of her spare room.

Following a night at the ballet, Rose opened up to her long time BFF Amy about what she had started, what was missing for actors and the supportive community Rose wanted to inspire. This serendipitous conversation led to the birth of a great yin & yang partnership which has seen the SceneWorkout concept evolve and soar to levels Rose didn’t know were possible as Rose and Amy’s complementary talents combine to serve this growing community of experienced actors with warmth and respect.

Co-founder | Corporate

Amy brings the balance of some serious business cred to the SceneWorkout partnership of dreams.

Having graduated with a marketing degree from Monash Uni, she’s spent the last five years working in various roles in the advertising industry, shooting her way up the corporate ladder and kicking some major goals.

Much like Liam Neeson, Amy possesses a unique set of skills across business management, marketing and advertising, social media and web design. Amy’s decisive nature and get shit done attitude were the perfect ingredients to help elevate the SceneWorkout concept into a full blown business.

Best friends since they were 13, Amy is the makeup to Rose’s wardrobe, the lighting to her sound, the Emily Blunt to her John Krasinkzi.

After putting in the hard yards and laying the foundations in SceneWorkout’s inaugural year, Amy’s ready to give it her all. She’s given up the high-flying corporate advertising life to be her own boss, live the dream of working with her best mate and help bring the actors of Melbourne the training they deserve!
